My name is Antonio Maltese. I studied three years of marketing at James Madison University, and transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University my senior year to finish off with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in international relations and a minor in German. I am 22 years old. After being hospitalized from a car accident on December 22, 2016, I tested positive for Huntington’s Disease through a genetic test and am predicted to die between 40-60 years old. My doctor in Harrisonburg said before getting tested, “Even if you have it there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it”, but I’ve decided to fight Huntington’s in my own way.
